Heat pump electricity
The electricity standing charge is added to every option, as every home pays it. The gas standing charge is added to the gas boiler only, as it is only paid with a gas supply. Heating oil has no standing charge.

Boilers rarely reach their rated efficiency across a season. In one field trial, gas boilers averaged approx. 85% (regular) and 82.5% (combi).
The heat pump figure is at 55 °C flow. A well-designed system running at a lower flow temperature will usually do better.
